CAVITY WALLS

The true cost of un-insulated cavity walls

If your home was built after the 1930s, the chances are it will have cavity walls. This means the external walls consist of two layers with a cavity between them. If this cavity hasn’t been adequately insulated you could be losing up to 35% of your home’s heat through the walls, which in turn could be adding up to 25% on to your energy bills.

As well as adding to your home energy costs, not having your cavity walls insulated can also add to climate change. This is because energy wastage creates increased carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide emissions, which are damaging to the environment.

The insulation products we install are supplied by leading UK manufacturers and all our work is carried out on site by our own highly trained installers. All our work carries a 25 year CIGA Guarantee.

Quick, clean and easy to install

The good news is that insulating your cavity walls is both quick and cost effective. To do it, Hillserve use a material called blown mineral wool. Made using environmentally friendly materials and processes, this can be injected into your walls’ cavities through small holes. Once complete, Hillserve will then re-fill the holes, matching the existing bricks and mortar as closely as possible.
