It’s a simple fact that our climate is changing. One of the main reasons this is happening is due to an excess of gas such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide in our atmosphere. These form a thick layer above the planet that prevents the sun’s heat escaping back out into space, causing the earth’s temperature to rise.
Playing our part in protecting the environment, we have always strived to be an active part of the community and because of this we constantly consider the impact we have locally and how we can contribute to a better environment for all.
The effects of these rising temperatures could be catastrophic and is already causing ice caps to melt, raising sea levels and increasing the risks of flooding. In the UK alone, incidents of flooding are already becoming more and more common with each passing year.
To try and slow these changes down, we need to reduce the amounts of harmful gases being released because a large percentage come as a result of burning fossil fuels to generate the energy we use in our homes.
