Caffi Coed Y Brennin is a small café in Bethesda, Wales. Over many years it has built up a loyal customer base that enjoys the home cooked menu and friendly service. Hillserve’s Business Development Manger often holds meetings there when she visits the nearby Hillserve offices.
Hillserve contacted Karen Aston, the café manager, several years ago to discuss using the café for her team get-togethers. The bacon and sausage sandwiches have made Hillserve's early morning café meetings extremely popular, but this is no ordinary café.
The café employs people with learning difficulties from all over north Wales. Each person receives invaluable work experience during their time at Caffi Coed Y Brennin which they can use to gain employment closer to home although some of the ladies have started work with Karen and never left!!
At the end of September Caffi Coed Y Brennin celebrated it’s 25th birthday and Hillserve, who now employ four “graduates” of the café as office cleaners, were delighted to support the celebrations.
